Infertility and Surrogacy Guidance

Building a family is an exciting time. Most of the time things fall into place, but for some, IVF and surrogacy are needed to complete their family. This process can be daunting with many important decisions to be made and critical processes that need to be accomplished. Busy individuals may not have the time needed to research and vet every decision in this journey thoroughly or successfully. That’s where we come in.

My name is Dr. Tanya Hoke, and I’m a double board-certified OB/GYN and Urogynecologist. My husband, Dr. David Hoke, is a physician too. We have one child I carried through IVF and one born via gestational carrier (also known as surrogacy).

Even with both of us as physicians, the process was eye-opening.

We had many challenges, including fitting our egg retrieval and embryo transfers into a busy surgeon schedule, handling the alarming situation when our surrogate was not taking medications correctly, making sure we were included in OB visits, and even coordinating the timing of delivery of our gestational carrier from across the country.

One might think surrogacy agencies will handle these details, but this is rarely the case.

We wished we had guidance through this process. We wished we could offload the mental burden of making sure everything was on track. We wanted someone we could trust to help verify decisions we were making for the first time.

That's what inspired Infertility and Surrogacy Guidance at Carte. We oversee and manage all of the details of family building, so our future parents can maintain their every day lives knowing they have a dedicated and knowledgeable team planning for success.

We give families time back by handling records, phone calls, and scheduling. We save dozens more hours by vetting physicians, agencies, and facilities, and by creating timelines and managing the multiple moving parts that no one else coordinates.

We increase the odds of a better result through our custom research ahead of key discussions and decisions interfacing with the medical system. We back up your values and goals with concrete data and other centers’ experiences, to hold your care to the highest standard.

We give you the confidence that everything within control is happening optimally and the freedom that it doesn’t have to rest solely on your shoulders. By doing this, we hope we can give you what we wanted most: to be able to relax during the process and know we did everything in our power to ensure success.

Deciding to move forward with IVF and surrogacy is a big life decision. We would love to meet you and support you as you build your family.  Schedule an intake call with the Carte team to find out if meeting us would be helpful in your case. ___ Intake Call Scheduling Link

Memberships last a year or more, during which time we start by learning where you currently are in your fertility journey and ensure that your Reproductive Endocrinologist, Obstetrician, Perinatologist, birthing support, and other parts of your medical team are optimal. Although we are physicians, we do not replace these specialists. We are your dedicated guides and informed, well-connected advocates across stages.

Unlike individual specialists, we follow along through each and every step, ensuring coordination between parties and tailoring to your unique situation. Our advice to you is informed by our specialized network of expert consultants across the country and our extensive experience guiding other families through the process.

Finally, to ensure you and your baby are optimized across every aspect of your health, we also include access to Carte’s world-class nutrition, physical therapy, and coaching/counseling services.

If you’re interested in learning more, please schedule a 15-minute introductory call at this scheduling link. The intake team can help figure out if we are a good fit and which start dates are available. From there, they will arrange your initial meeting with us. We will be your guides moving forward from there.

Thank you so much for reading our story. We hope we can be of help to you.

With Love,
Tanya and Dave
